Like many women all around the world, she has also struggled with hair loss while expecting her first daughter. Back then, a decade ago, finding good quality, affordable, realistic-looking, and comfortable human hair wigs was quite a challenging task. More often than not, the product received turned out to be far from what was depicted on the store’s page, leaving her feeling disappointed. Vague and limited product descriptions, as well as inconsistencies in color and size often left her unsure about what she purchased. Even more disappointing – high price didn’t guarantee a premium quality purchase.

The importance of accurate description of human hair wigs
The first thing we wanted to do differently in the human hair wigs industry is the product description. All too often, wigs sold online come with minimal or vague information, making it difficult to confidently repurchase even the same item. At Hairalicious, our descriptions are as accurate as clockwork, ensuring that you know exactly what you’re getting.
Why natural hair wigs should have precise size measurements
A key challenge when shopping for natural hair wigs is the lack of universal sizing. Therefore, sizes expressed in words only, like “Small”, “Medium” or “Large” can be misleading. For example, a “Small” size at one company might have different measurements at another. We believe that such size indication is not enough because there is a lot to consider when designing wigs. You have to use 6 head measurements to replicate head size, and it’s important to take into account the elasticity of the material used for the wig base. That’s why we indicate 2 main size measurements (circumference and front to nape) along with the elasticity range. This way, you can check if your head measurements fit the frame provided, increasing your chances for a good and comfortable fit.

Color is equally important when selecting real human hair wigs, which is why we not only describe the color but also specify the tone (cool, warm, or neutral) and root darkness. What is more, all wig colors are arranged by root color level in our comparison tab, making it easier for you to find your perfect match.

We determine wig density by weighing each wig, and the hair length is measured using two different measurement methods used in the industry. To make sure you make an informed decision, we even include detailed hair type description, specifying natural texture when hair air-dries.

Creating natural looking wigs is a combination of science and artistry. To make all our wigs glueless, secure, comfortable and looking realistic requires precision, logic, testing and calculation. It can take up to 5 months and multiple people to create one wig. Since several people are involved in different stages of production, we implement procedures to ensure product consistency, so each handmade product is as similar as possible.

As it takes several months to craft a wig, we’ve also implemented an in-stock alert system.
